Movado Women's 606045 Esperanza Two-Tone Stainless-Steel Watch

Featuring the utterly recognizable, minimalist look of the Museum Watch dial, this stainless steel women's Movado Esperanza Swiss quartz two-tone watch offers a nod to the origin of Movado's name, which is translated as "always in motion" in the international language of Esperanto. The black dial face includes just the signature single gold-tone dotted marker at 12 o'clock--evocative of a sun dial--and two golden sword-shaped hands. (Movado's Museum watch is often referred to as the "boss's watch" due to its vague display of time and because the boss doesn't have to be on time.)

Powered by a precise Swiss quartz movement, it also features a highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and water resistance to 30 meters (99 feet)--enabling it to withstand splashes and accidental dunks into the water, but not suitable for swimming. It's completed by a handsome, multi-link stainless steel bracelet band that mixes silver and gold-tone links and connects via a hidden butterfly deployment clasp.

Product Feature

  • Precise Swiss-Quartz movement
  • Sapphire crystal
  • Case diameter: 37 mm
  • Stainless-steel case; Black dial
  • Water-resistant to 99 feet (30 M)

Product Overview

A sleek, sporty version of Movado's signature Museum dial watch, this men's Sport Edition watch features a round black dial with silver-tone hands and a single dot marker at the twelve o'clock position. This is the minimalist look made famous for Movado by American designer Nathan George Horwitt in 1947. Horwitt intended his design to be evocative of a sun dial, with the dot representing the sun at high noon. The dial is set in a contoured bezel of brushed and polished stainless steel accented at the corners with Movado's signature concave dot. It presents on a brushed stainless steel bracelet-style band with concave dots on alternating links. The band fastens with an invisible double-locking clasp. Other notable features include a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and Swiss quartz movement. Water-resistant to 30 meters, this watch can withstand splashes and brief immersion in water; however, it is not sufficiently resistant for swimming.

About Movado
Movado, one of the most celebrated watch brands in the world, traces its origins to the small village of La Chaux-de-faunds, Switzerland where, in 1881, a young watchmaker named Achille Ditesheim hired six assistants and opened a small workshop. He called his company Movado, a word which means, roughly, "always in motion." The company grew and prospered, evolving from a small pocketwatch manufacturer into a leading innovator and designer of precision wristwatches. Throughout its history, Movado has maintained its place at the pinnacle of innovation and excellence in design, craftsmanship and technology. Movado watches are crafted by highly-skilled watchmakers to meet the exacting standards of Swiss time technology. They are accurate to within seconds a year. All Movado watches are sealed and protected against water, moisture and dust, and individually tested to meet strict international standards of quality. A long-time dedicated supporter of the arts, Movado has, itself, been the recipient of over 200 international awards. Movado watches can now be found in the permanent collections of over 20 museums worldwide.

Movado Men's 2600038 Series 800 Performance Chronograph Stainless-Steel Bracelet Watch Review

Product Feature

  • Precise Swiss-quartz movement
  • Performance stainless steel case, bezel, and bracelet
  • Chronograph sub-dials for 1/10 second, 60 second, and 30 minute; scratch resistant sapphire crystal
  • Water-resistant to 660 feet (200 M)

Product Overview

Departing slightly from the minimalist design it's cultivated over the years, Movado's Series 800 combines an eye-catching luxury watch with the practicalities of a sports watch without wholly sacrificing the spare modernism that is its trademark. A confident complement to both business suit and wetsuit, you'll know this is still a Movado watch thanks to the recognizable large, luminous Movado dot at 12 o'clock, which has become symbolic of Movado watches and pays homage to the famed Museum Series timepieces.

This Movado Series 800 stainless steel, Swiss chronograph for men has a large, round watch case that is made from performance steel--a higher grade of stainless steel that provides excellent durability and strength. Additionally, the low nickel content in this surgical steel quality offers improved hypoallergenicity.

Adding extra elegance along with the added benefit of split second timing, this chronograph can time events down to 1/10 of a second and it includes three round subdials that display minutes, seconds, and tenths of seconds. The flat black dial is complemented by silver stick hour markers with luminous tips, ultra-svelte silver bar hands with thin luminous lines (and a seconds hand), small minute indexes, and a date window at 4 o'clock. A black interior ring that slopes inward from the polished silver bezel includes a complete Arabic numeral readout. This precisely timed watch has a Swiss-made quartz movement, which is accurate to 60 seconds per year.

Other features include a sapphire glass crystal for optimal scratch resistance, screw down crown for maximum protection, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--which will stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving. It's completed by a handsome stainless steel bracelet band, which includes a fold over safety bar at the clasp for added security while participating in active pursuits.
